Skyhunter CREATIVE is excited to have brought Ohnivý Vták the Firebird to Burning Man 2025. This 15′ W x 17′ D x 15′ H art installation aimed to activate feelings of transformation, to encourage inner curiosity and physical play, and to provide a space for contemplation and connection.
Whether it be working together to fly the wings, having a spontaneous conversation with a lover or new friend in the nest, or relating to a stronger part of ourselves through movement or introspection, Ohnivý Vták the Firebird sought to ignite the abundant love and power already present within us and keep it burning.

The Ohnivý Vták the Firebird art project has now concluded.
eco impact
Assembled from 50% or more upcycled materials, Ohnivý Vták made an eco-conscious statement about our connection to and impact on our planet.
We consistently looked to source materials from eco-friendly partners and found ways to lessen our impact to the environment, including managing waste/trash effectively.
We limited our use of environmentally harmful materials and were conscious of energy used in our lighting plans. We were also fully solar-powered for the short time Firebird was installed on playa.
philosophy
Aligning with the 2025 theme, “Tomorrow Today,” Ohnivý Vták sought to help BRC citizens contemplate how they can “make the[ir] world real through actions that open the heart.”
The philosophy of Ohnivý Vták was to hold space for the cyclic experience, to reveal that under our masked exteriors, our abundant power resides in the intelligent heart being at peace with the impermanence of self and our perceived world. To expand, we must sincerely release what has come before and trust in the unknown of the future.

- When you see that LOI application period is open — APPLY!
- Words from someone who’s done it: all you need is a concept, but don’t delay on gathering crew, finding resources, and budgeting for materials. Do all the pre-production you can while you await the results of your grant proposal.
